review | you don’t mess with the zohan (2008)

Oh dear. My relationship with Adam Sandler has hit a rocky patch (aside from it being entirely fictitious). It was going so well – he’d wooed me with delights like The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates (where he actually sings a song about me being forgetful, it’s beautiful really), and just as I was about to move things to the next level he went and made You Don’t Mess with the Zohan. Now I’m going to have to dump him.

Apart from the fact that it’s grossly embarrassing (it made me feel like a prude), and has a desperate cameo performance from Mariah Carey in, it seems to last much, much longer than the 117 minutes it claims to. And you’ll never get that time back. Ever.

Adam – it’s not you, it’s me your crappy film. Sorry.
